Before they're making money decisions without you, make a few together.
Each session I put a real decision in front of everybody — you earned $1,000 this summer, what should you do with it? — and you and your teenager talk it through. Then I change something. What if you also had $800 of credit card debt? You reconsider. Only then do we get to the principle underneath it.
We don't just want young people to know more about money. We want them to know how to think when a money decision shows up — and we want you beside them while they learn.
